The Hostel was born in a large house in Old Havana from the beginning of the last century. Colonial windows and colorful stained glass windows allow the passage of light and the humid breeze from the sea, blue and in love, which embraces the city.
Four minutes walk from the Plaza de la Catedral and La Bodeguita del Medio, the hostel offers six majestic rooms with their bathrooms, distinguished by their very personal styles, where there is a waste of elegance and comfort.
Hostal HV Inside is located in the heart of Old Havana, the oldest area of Havana. The only space that covered the city during the first colonial centuries, where are the fortresses and other great monuments that make it one of the richest colonial groups in Latin America. Its historic urban center is a World Heritage Site.
Old Havana, one of the most touristic areas of Havana, due, to a large extent, to the restoration and conservation of its colonial architecture. It has a varied and permanent cultural and gastronomic offer, ranging from innumerable museums, restaurants, bars, canteens and famous nightclubs. There is also a network of bookstores and shops.
The traveler will find in addition to its great fortresses, an interesting mix of baroque and neoclassical monuments, narrow streets full of music and color, old houses with arcades, balconies, wrought iron gates and interior patios that constitute beautiful examples of architecture, making this city in one of the most important colonial complexes on the continent. And, above all, you will meet its people, cheerful, friendly and sparkling.
Its main squares stand out for their architectural value and unparalleled beauty:
Main Square: It is the oldest square in Old Havana, where colonial Havana was born in the 16th century.
Cathedral Square: The most uniform of the four main colonial squares in Old Havana. This square is an authentic baroque museum.
Plaza de San Francisco: Colonial square that functions as the gateway to the city, housing the Church and Convent of San Francisco de Asís.
Plaza de Cristo: An ideal place to see how daily life unfolds, a true reflection of Cuban traditionalism.
Plaza Vieja: Designed in 1559, it is the most eclectic square from an architectural point of view in Havana.
The HV Inside Hostel is located:
- 4 minutes from the Cathedral Square
- 4 minutes from the Bodeguita del Medio.
- 10 minutes from the Malecón.
- 6 minutes from the National Museum of Fine Arts
From this enclave you can visit the main arteries, squares and places of interest of colonial Havana, such as: Palace of the General Captains, El Templete, La Casa del Son, Castillo de la Real Fuerza, Calle Obispo, Paseo del Prado and The capitol.
To move within Havana we recommend the famous “almendrones”, classic cars that go from the years between 1940 to 1960, very popular among tourists and nationals, who make the trip an enjoyment of the routes to the different points of the city.
